In line with government guidelines we are now in phase 3 of ease down restrictions and some changes have taken place.
Our office based staff are returning to work following government guidelines. We have a risk assessment in place to help control the hazards of the spread of the virus.
Field based feed advisers are back on the road with appointment only and have strict measures to follow in order to keep our customers safe.
Our production site has remained fully operational throughout this pandemic, with control measures in place.
Davidsons are continually updating Covid 19 processes to keep our staff and customers safe.
With the handling of paperwork being a risk for the transmission of infection, going forward we would like to try and reduce the risk by going paperless where possible. In line with the latest government advice, we've made some changes to the way we will be working until further notice.
Sales / Customer Service
All office based staff who are not directly involved in production or transport are now working from home. While we are working differently, we are continuing to deliver business as close as possible to the usual way. Our normally busy Sales office will have a skeleton staff in place working on an office/home rota, the members of our team working from home will be able to receive and make business calls as well as access our system to deal with orders and queries. Answers may be a bit slower than normal but please be patient, and leave a message when required, someone will get back to you.
Deliveries to farms will continue as normal. Our next day delivery is currently not an option due to these extenuating circumstances. Please be proactive and call your feed advisor today to book in your orders to avoid disappointment. To ensure the safety of all employees and customers please be aware of the social distancing practice and precautionary measures that we have in place.

Electronic payments by BACS or Card are preferred methods at the moment, cheques will still be accepted but where possible please use one of the other two options.

Davidson Brothers are continually monitoring the outbreak in the UK and the impact this is having.
We have put together a biosecurity plan for the site and the following actions for customers.
- With immediate effect our sales team have been advised to make contact only by telephone or email to their customers.
- If any silage samples are required, a silage kit and pre paid envelope will be posted.
- For deliveries our drivers have been advised to phone ahead and if possible work alone to off load the feeding.
- Drivers have been given antibacterial/antiviral wipes for the use in their cabs. We have antibacterial hand stations at the feed mill and drivers must use them on return.
- All delivery vehicles are washed before leaving the feed mill.
